White Fury RX1
How it works

Concept

The White Furie RX1 is a winter sporting event and involves tests of functional movements and running, as a team. The challenge is to compile a maximum of laps per team, in a recreational or competitive component.

Date of the event

From Friday March 25 to Saturday March 26, 2022.

Event location

The event will take place at the Baribeau Arena in Gatineau located at

231 Magnus Street E, Gatineau, QC J8P 5B1

4 choice of duration

  • 24 h (competitive or recreational)
  • 12 h (recreational)
  • 6 h (recreational)
  • 1 h (recreational)

Cost

Regular price per person

  • 24 h – $ 130
  • 12 h – $ 115
  • 6 h – $ 100
  • 1 h – $ 85

Recreational Mode (24 h, 12 h and 6 h)

The recreational mode has no time constraint for the break between each turn. In addition, the recreational teams can include more than 4 members (maximum 6 persons). There is no limit to the number of men on the team. The recreational participants also receive a medal.

Discovery (1 h)

It is possible to take part in the event for 1 hour. It is therefore a nice way to discover the event.

Competitive Mode (24 h mandatory)

To conserve this title and be eligible for the podium, the team must have at least one person on the course at all times, except during the transition break. If not, the team goes into recreational mode.

Furthermore, there must be at least two team members on the field until the last second of the event. Therefore, for a two-member team, both will have to be on the course.

Team

The ideal team make-up is 4 people. A 4-member team will more easily complete this challenge. In this way, 2 teammates will be on the course, while the 2 others recover their strength on a break.

Less there are members on a team, more the individuals have to work hard, with fewer breaks. However, it is still possible for you to form teams of 2 to 6 people (4 max. Competitive format) and even to participate individually. Note that a maximum of 2 men are allowed on a team. Otherwise, all team compositions are allowed.

Team Name

When you purchase your ticket, you must select your team on the list, or create one, if none exists. If many teams have the same name, add a number after the name to make it unique. Make sure that all the members of your team sign up with the right team by validating the spelling with teammates.

Transitory Break in Competitive Mode

The time allowed for the transition indoors is 30 minutes for a team and 60 minutes for an individual. Time verification is completed by a check-in/check-out, confirmed by a volunteer at the computer, located at the entrance/exit. If the time allowed is exceeded, the team will be eliminated from competitive mode.

Awards

All participants who actively finalize the event will earn a medal.

The winning team will take home the “goblin”, a magnificent cup.

Restriction

It is prohibited to have supporters who “accompany” you for 1 turn. If someone wishes to accompany you, they must pay the amount for the Discovery race, and for each turn completed with you.

White Fury RX1 150 150 RX1 NATION

White Fury RX1

White Fury RX1

This winter and outdoor sporting event involves functional movement tests and running, as a team.

The challenge is to compile a maximum of laps per team, in a recreational or competitive component. To do this, the teams work strategically together on the course, to orchestrate their movements, to manage their food, their time of sleep, their changes of clothes as needed, while helping each other by taking advantage of each other’s strengths and by reconciling. with their weaknesses.

New in 2022

The White Fury RX1 event has always been a 24 hour event. This time format will remain our classic for an absolute challenge. Nevertheless, we saw fit to make the experience even more accessible to everyone. We are therefore offering the following duration options for the winter 2022 edition:

  • 24h (competitive or recreational)
  • 12h (recreational)
  • 6h (recreational)
  • 1h (recreational)

Accessible competition for all levels

  • Intermediate Standards

All participants have the same charges for the White Fury RX1 event. The weight of the loads corresponds to the intermediate level standards.
